About installing the Publisher

The Publisher setup program installs the Publisher core components, the selected system links and rendering modules, and several web services used to support publishing and Publisher queue monitoring functionality on the Publisher computer. The setup program also includes applications for publishing documents and monitoring the Publisher queue from a source or destination system. Typically, the Publisher must be installed on more than one computer.

Installing Publisher involves tasks for installing and configuring multiple components on several servers. The installation tasks are listed in the order in which they should be performed in the following table and are described in the remainder of this guide.
